Overview
Senior Supply Chain Manager
Reporting to the Site Leader and accountable to the VP of Operations in our matrix organization, we are seeking a highly driven, hands-on subject matter expert in Lean Manufacturing to join our growing organization in Torrance, California. In this role, you will be responsible for the Operations Department including Supply Chain Management. Importantly, you will be the driver of process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within Operations at our California facility. Helping to foster a culture of sustainable change through the creation and application of LEAN methodologies, and the supporting framework to deliver business transformation.

Your leadership, communication and organizational skills are second to none. You'll work closely with senior management to strategize and develop long-term plans that usher in new levels of productivity and success.
Antcom is a wholly owned subsidiary of NovAtel and is part of Hexagon AB and the Hexagon Autonomy and Positioning (A&P) division. Antcom excels at designing, developing and manufacturing a wide range of antennas for a variety of industries including aerospace and defense, agriculture, automotive and UAV markets.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day management of the Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management and Shipping teams.
- Be an active change agent within the site by cultivating a Lean thinking mindset.
- Collaborate with corporate and local management in the development of goals and long-term initiatives for Operations.
- Lead strategy deployment for Business Operations concentrating on Lean initiatives to maximize efficiency and productivity through process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration. Drive a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.
- Develop, implement and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for our key initiatives.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with all functional areas, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet customer and inventory requirements, and deliver assembled products on time
- Responsible for multiple initiatives, consistently implementing Lean practices including event facilitation, workshop facilitation, coaching, training, leading, process documentation and analysis.
- Through the development of people's skills and abilities, embeds Lean and Lean tools inside the organization as people's way of working
- Helps define and promote the company's Lean vision, methodology, practices to enhance our Lean journey with a structured, disciplined approach to work with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ensure operations move toward a problem solving and daily execution culture.
- Develop depth of capability of lean team members across the site in order to become future coaches and leaders of the organization.
- Promote and enforce safety in the workplace.
- Coach and facilitate Continuous improvement initiatives to consistently meet and exceed Key Performance Index (KPI)
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred
- 15 years of operational and lean manufacturing management experience
- 5 years in an Operations Management role
- Project Management experience
- Track record of achieving business results through the implementation of Lean manufacturing.
- Extensive experience leading lean transformations from concept through implementation, evaluation and sustainment (PDCA)
- Expertise in building high performing teams with a focus on developing capability and mentoring lean teams in a manufacturing setting.
- Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions including finance, production, supply chain, and MRP
- Well versed in collaborating with internal and external leaders to understand customer's requirements, create solutions and process improvement initiatives
- Must be a legally authorized to work in the United States

Nice to Have:
- Some technical knowledge in assembly of Antenna and Microwave products and components
- Lean Certification and/or Black belt in Six Sigma or equivalent qualification
- Knowledge of value stream mapping, kaizen, standard work, leader standard work, daily management and other lean methods.
