Position Summary

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is a strategic partner to site and functional leaders, responsible for aligning people strategy with business priorities to drive performance, engagement, and organizational effectiveness. This role goes beyond transactional HR to focus on workforce strategy, leadership capability, culture, and change.

The HRBP works closely with leaders to shape organizational design, anticipate talent needs, and address complex people challenges. This role partners with HR Centers of Excellence and Shared Services to ensure consistent, scalable execution while maintaining strong local relationships and understanding of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on workforce strategy, organizational design, talent needs, and culture.
  • Participate in business planning and operating reviews to align people priorities with operational and financial goals.
  • Partner with leaders to clarify roles, improve organizational effectiveness, and align structure with demand.
  • Support change initiatives such as restructures, process changes, and new operating models.

Talent, Performance & Leadership

  • Lead performance management, talent reviews, and succession planning for supported functions.
  • Partner with leaders to identify critical roles, high-potential talent, and development needs.
  • Coach leaders on feedback, accountability, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on hiring strategy, role definition, and selection decisions.

Employee & Labor Relations

  • Lead complex employee relations cases including investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of policies and labor agreements.
  • Support labor relations activities including grievance handling and contract interpretation.
  • Partner with Legal and Labor Relations as appropriate.

Culture, Engagement & Change

  • Shape and reinforce desired culture, behaviors, and ways of working.
  • Lead engagement initiatives and action planning.
  • Support leaders through organizational change and transformation.
  • Identify cultural or performance risks and address proactively.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Interpret and apply employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Identify people-related risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Support audits and compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

Experience

  • 6-8 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, operational, or complex business environments preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong business acumen and ability to connect people decisions to business outcomes.
  • Strong coaching, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Sound judgment in complex and sensitive situations.
  • Ability to operate independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role is site-based with frequent interaction with leaders and employees in operational environments.

Work involves:

  • Sitting for extended periods
  • Using standard office equipment
  • Walking through manufacturing environments requiring appropriate PPE
  • Participating in in-person and virtual meetings
