What you'll be challenged to do: During your internship, you will work on a highly functioning team and aid in providing design services for a wide variety of projects. You'll receive guidance, supervision and mentorship from experienced engineers and professionals with your learning and success as the goal. The majority of our interns convert to full-time employees. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Support real client projects by assisting in the design of hydraulic structures, green Infrastructure, and stormwater management basins under supervision. Assist in performing hydrologic watershed modeling and basic hydraulic models. Aid in seismic hazard assessments for dam and mining structures. Assist with drafting construction plans and preparing environmental permit applications. Aid in asset management inventory updates and work with GIS expert to identify gaps in system mapping data. Education \| Experience: What you will bring to our firm: Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering or related. Demonstrated interest in stormwater and environmental engineering through applied coursework or previous internships. Familiarity with software tools such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, Excel, and Word. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. What we prefer you bring: Prior experience with HydroCAD, StormCAD, WaterCAD or Hydraflow software. Compensation: The salary range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00 per hour.
