Front end Architect (On site)

Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Front End Architect with experience in technical architecture. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications. Our Architects have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. Responsibilities:
  • Design the technical architecture to address business requirements, including system configurations (hardware, software, and messaging, as appropriate), solving complex problems in realms where solutions may not currently exist, necessitating new solutions / ways of working / technologies and proactively articulating these to the business.
  • Develop relationships across the business to understand requirements, applies deep technical knowledge of product or capability to solve business problems, and work closely with development teams to coordinate implementation.
  • Provide innovative and practical designs for the design and integration of new and existing systems, applying advanced technical capabilities.
  • Provide technical expertise to improve value from new and existing IT products and solutions. This may involve leading tool evaluation efforts, which include defining evaluation criteria, identifying tools, and conducting evaluations.
  • Assists others in addressing challenging issues in technical architecture and resolves intricate aspects of a project, while contributing to project management tasks, such as estimating task durations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and the business to develop user-friendly systems that meet user needs and reach an agreement with collaborators.
  • Provides coaching and support to development teams during blueprinting and implementation phases
  • Reviews and develops due diligence to confirm the developed solution aligns with architectural design.
  • Contributes to development standards to promote optimization and consistency (including code modularization and reuse).
Qualifications:
  • Has an advanced understanding of technical architecture and can apply this in the development of new technical architecture components.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, along with 12+ years of applied experience.
  • Experience of ""owning"" the design of a major/large component of an application or software architecture.
  • Possesses deep knowledge on technical architecture spanning across all aspects of each system and how it can be applied in a business context.
  • Understanding of agile project management methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object oriented design.
  • Working knowledge of REST and RPC service patterns and other client/server interaction models.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven results in delivering excellent technical designs.
Salary and compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $102,000K - $162,500K depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
