Overview

The Demant Finance Group Services Payroll Administrator will be part of a Shared Services team responsible for the timely and accurate payroll processing of several payrolls supporting multiple Business Units, across a matrix organization.

This position is a highly critical and visible role that support multiple stakeholders and will require strong organization, collaboration, and excellent customer services skills. As a part of this team, the individual will administer and validate all payroll related activities and ensure financial data integrity and operational efficiency is adhered to throughout the payroll system for all Business Units.

This position will be based out of the Company Headquarters, located in Somerset, NJ on a hybrid schedule (Tuesday and Thursday in office).



Responsibilities

As a member of the Group Services team, this individual will be responsible for processing payroll for approximately 8 out of 24 payroll companies for approximately 1,500 employees across the United States utilizing Enhanced ADP Workforce Now. Supports the entire payroll process from start to finish ensuring timely and accurate processing, delivery and reconciliation of payroll.

Systematic management of the day-to-day payroll function, including but not limited to ADP Essential Timecard maintenance, WFN data integrity, system validation of all new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions and leave of absences.

Compile, validate and prepare import pay data files for bi-weekly variable pay and payroll adjustments.

Participates in pre- and post-payroll auditing procedures and troubleshoots anomalies or issues.

Assist in the quarterly and year-end process of reconciling tax deposits, annual fringe benefit reporting and W-2 statement.

Effectively manage service ticketing system within defined service level agreements while providing thorough research and resolution, product support and excellent customer service to all business partners and employees.

Complete all verification of employment inquiries; organize, maintain, and upload unemployment notices and wage order request to ADP Smart Compliance.

Assist Finance with reconciling monthly payroll related items posted on the general ledger.

Support reoccurring and ad hoc reporting including production of basic to intermediate reporting to various internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure PTO setup and balances reflect correct company policies. Responsible for the implementation and administration of payroll policies, practices and procedures.

Support project initiatives such as process review and requirements for system enhancements and solutions.

Participate in audit processes for monthly, quarterly, and annual activities.

Work closely with HRIS team to ensure data integrity and continuity of system information and reporting.



Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree preferred and/or 3-5 years payroll experience
  • 3-5 years experience in multi-state environment using ADP Workforce Now for 1,000+ employee's required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local employment and payroll laws
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, time-sensitivity and follow-through continually expected.
  • Work involves highly confidential and sensitive information; discretion is essential.
