Senior Operations Accounting Analyst, Barberton

As a Senior Operations Accounting Analyst, Barberton,you will have ownership of all things operations accounting and cost management for the Barberton, OH Industrial Segment manufacturing site. You will also support ad hoc requests across the Specialty Coatings and Materials (SCM) business. You will report to the SCM Operations Accounting Manager. This is a hybrid position based in Pittsburgh, PA.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform monthly closing procedures and account reconciliations.
• Analyze and prepare account reconciliations to identify trends and ensure accuracy of the account balances.
• Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis on an ongoing basis to service manufacturing and business leadership.
• Help facilitate and perform re-costing and analyze results to understand real-time cost changes.
• Support the plant managers and the leadership team with understanding results, proactive cost actions, capital investment analysis, and other ad-hoc tasks.
• Oversee inventory accounting and physical inventory financial practices for the plant.
• Help with SOX audit compliance and other issues raised by internal and external audit.
• Support the Business Unit Finance Director and Industrial Segment Operations leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field with 4+ years of experience.
• Outstanding Excel knowledge required.
• SAP (or other large ERP system) and costing experience, preferred.
• Monthly travel to Barberton, OH initially, then reduced to quarterly or bi-monthly
