Sales Engineer - Engineered Wear Components

Remote Location: Home Office - Preferred location would be Houston, TX area but open to consider candidates anywhere in Southern TX.



Job Description:



  • Field sales position focusing on in-depth customer engagement and understanding of needs.
  • Identifying specific opportunities for Kennametal's Tungsten Carbide products which will provide and enhance value for our customers.
  • Promote and implement both custom and standard Kennametal solutions.
  • Gain the trust and respect of customers by establishing relationships, understanding their challenges and needs, and following through on commitments in a timely manner.
  • Advocate for Kennametal to the customer, advocate for the customer to Kennametal.
  • Territory management to promote business segment growth to new and existing customers.
  • Collaboration across multiple business segments


Job Responsibilities:



  • Establish relationships with new and existing Kennametal customers to provide solutions
  • Meets sales revenue goals of growth and profitability
  • Develop and maintain customer associated data to provide consultative partnership
  • Execute growth initiative projects within market segment
  • Travel up to 50% throughout SE US, current customer base is concentrated in southern Texas




Education and Work Experience Required:



  • Bachelors Degree in Business, marketing, engineering, or technical degree..
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience required
  • 2-5 years technical industrial sales experiencpreferred
  • Tungsten Carbide Knowledge is a plus
