Job Summary

Provide professional services in support of unit management in field as specified in the particular job posting. Focus will be in a professional field such as Communications, Marketing, Customer Service, Academic Administration, Event Management, Procurement, etc. Specific duties will be determined based on assignment and unit needs. Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Perform duties related to professional field assignment.

Job Duty 2 -
Participate in reviews for compliance with policy and governmental regulations in the field.

Job Duty 3 -
Provide input to department policies and procedures.

Job Duty 4 -
May provide input to and administer project timelines and budgets.

Job Duty 5 -
May interact with vendors regarding procurement and delivery issues.

Job Duty 6 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and evaluate the programs of Women in Engineeering (WIE) for Spring & Summer 2025
  • Oversee logistics, budgets, and timelines for events, workshops, and programs such as mentorship initiatives, outreach activities, and professional development sessions.
  • Plan and execute large-scale events, such as banquets and networking sessions
  • Collaborate with industry partners, alumni, and faculty to create impactful and engaging experiences.
  • Maintain relationships with corporate partners
  • Act as a liaison between the Women in Engineering (WIE) program and other internal units
  • Track and analyze program metrics, participation rates, and outcomes to assess effectiveness.
  • Prepare detailed reports regarding engagement for fundraising purposes
  • Serve as a mentor and advocate for women engineering students.
  • Must be able to travel locally or regionally as needed for outreach activities and events.
Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
Position requires the ability to pass a drug/alcohol pre-screening; may require working competently with dangerous materials and in a dangerous environment, such as around or on rotating machinery, live electrical circuits, hazardous materials, high-pressure liquids and gas, and bot surfaces. In addition, it may require lifting heavy objects of up to 75 pounds, and working in confined spaces, noisy environments, and elevated locations (such as climbing extension ladder and other types of ladders; or using scaffolding) either inside or outside of a building. During adverse weather, activities may require extensive after hours work or callback. This job may require wearing a full-face respirator in accordance with Georgia Tech campus policies and procedures. This job will require some evening hours and hours during peak times, as well as being a part of an on-duty rotation.

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with experience working across diverse populations
  • Proficiency in program evaluation, data collection, and reporting
Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in program management, event planning, or a related role.
  • Experience in higher education or STEM-related initiatives is strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires application of professional principles, processes and practices; application of regulations; utilization of basic and advanced computer applications including those specific to areas of responsibility; communication skills.

  • $28/hr-$30/hr, depending on qualifications and experience
