Maintenance Assistant Manager

Cape Fox Lodge is seeking an experienced maintenance professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager. The Assistant Manager of the maintenance department will support the Maintenance Director and maintenance operations of the lodge/hotel and/or other Cape fox properties ensuring that all facilities and equipment are well-maintained, safe, and functioning efficiently. This role involves the use of technical skills, supervising maintenance staff, coordination of and performing repairs, and assisting with preventive maintenance programs.

Required responsibilities:

Provide on call operational support provided as required to Cape Fox Lodge.

Assist the maintenance director in overseeing daily operations of the maintenance department.

Perform repairs and ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to high quality standards.

Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.

Assist in developing and implementing preventative maintenance procedures for all equipment and facilities.

Respond promptly to guest and staff requests for maintenance issues and coordinate repairs.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory and equipment status.

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards.

Train and mentor maintenance staff on the best practices and safety protocols.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

Participate in budget planning and cost control for maintenance department.
