Department Information
The Georgia Tech Athletic Associate (GTAA) sponsors varsity intercollegiate athletics competition in 17 NCAA Division I sports for the Georgia Institute of Technology. We are a proud member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Job Summary

Support the Head Coach and Coaching Staff with developing, promoting and supporting the operational and strategic aspects of the Football Program including planning and scheduling. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Head Coach, Assistant Coaches, Special Teams Staff, Director of Football Operations, Recruiting Coordinator, Football Staff and student-athletes. This position typically will advise and counsel: Head Coach, Assistant Coaches, Director of Football Operations and Student Athletes. This position will supervise: NA

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Work with the special teams staff in the off-season to plan, create, and implement special teams philosophies for the football team.

Job Duty 2 -
Assist in the creation of the special teams playbook. Work with each position coach to synthesize their input into the playbook.

Job Duty 3 -
Assist the special teams staff in creating a game plan and strategy for each opponent.

Job Duty 4 -
Assist the special teams staff with creating and maintaining practice plans.

Job Duty 5 -
Assist with the grading after each practice. Independently input and edit video from each practice. Sit in on meetings, synthesize information, and assist with opponent scouting.

Job Duty 6 -
Break down each opponent's defensive game plan and schemes.

Job Duty 7 -
Use video review and performance analysis tools to create detailed reports and cutups.

Job Duty 8 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
0-2 years of job-related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Preferred skills include thorough knowledge of the DV Sport and Hudl programs and best practices. Knowledge of applicable Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules and regulations is also preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires working knowledge of the daily operations of a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I football office, proficiency in the use of basic computer applications, strong problem solving skills, ability to be an effective listener, strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks within demanding timeframes, ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality, and ability to use sound judgement in responding to issues and concerns. Must have thorough knowledge of video review and performance analysis tools and digital video acquisition, analysis, and play-back software.
