Coordinator Scheduling

Job Overview:

The Coordinator Scheduling for the Interventional Radiology Special Procedures department operates the scheduling systems at a proficient level in order to assist physicians and route cases to appropriate areas for review in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma
• Minimum 3 years working in a fast-paced office environment, preferably within a healthcare or hospital setting
• Good typing skills, office routine familiarity with emphasis on Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology

Scheduling Requirements:

• Day Shift
• Full-Time

Essential Functions:

• Provides excellent customer service to patients, physicians and all other hospital staff
• Duties of clerical nature including:
  • scheduling procedures
  • filling
  • answering and routing telephone calls and receiving people
  • requesting information and services in the department
• Operates PACS and RIS systems at a proficient level in order to assist physicians and route cases to appropriate areas for review
