POSITION TITLE

Financial Analyst

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position is part of Milliken's Chemical Division reporting to the Division Controller.It is located in Spartanburg, SC at Milliken's Corporate Headquarters.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with division enabler functions: supply chain, marketing, manufacturing, engineering, product management, finance, and HR for data analysis

  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis for the finance team and other business team members

  • Manage the record-keeping and accounting for rebates

  • Maintain financial controls records for audit requirements

  • Accurate and timely submission of the division's financial forecasts for enterprise-level consolidation.

  • Ensuring the timely and accurate submission of financial forecasts for the Chemical division's Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process using the IBPa tool

  • Preparation and review of standard division financial reporting packages for C-Office and Milliken Board meetings

  • Lead and implement various finance/accounting process improvement projects

  • Lead capital expenditure approval, spending and closing process for non-manufacturing locations

  • Provide support to broader Chemical finance team as needed through financial analysis, budgeting, and close activities; help facilitate decision making and future business strategies

  • Track, analyze and report on progress and advice to management in the areas of operations and resource management with particular focus on SGA

  • Utilize FactSet to update external market comparatives

  • Support divisional digital transformation initiatives including SAC and other platforms

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

  • BS Degree - Accounting or Finance

  • Experience using data query tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud or Power BI

  • Attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and strong problem-solving skills

  • Advance excel skills and other Microsoft Office tools

  • Industry experience of 2+ years

QUALIFICATIONS - PREFERRED

  • CPA, CMA or MBA is preferred

  • SAP experience preferred

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) experience
