POSITION TITLE

Dewey Plant- Engineering Services Professional (Advanced to Senior)

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Engineering Services Professional is responsible for daily and lifecycle management of plant maintenance and reliability activities at a PSM covered facility - including breakdown, preventive, and predictive maintenance, plus some capital projects and implementation. This position encompasses production equipment, plant utilities, and grounds management. This position may have direct reports such as mechanical and electrical & instrumentation technicians, planners, schedulers and contractors. This position could be advanced to senior based on experience level.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote and enforce all safety and environmental regulations. Maintain equipment and facilities in a manner to make continual improvement in Safety and Environmental measurements including annual safety, VPP, and environmental audits. Provide leadership and effectively participate in the plant safety process.

  • Utilize CMMS (computerized maintenance management system - Maintelligence) to manage work order creation and execution and to help manage daily activities.

  • Daily Management of plant maintenance activities, including breakdown, preventive, and predictive maintenance, plus implementation. Maintain production equipment in operating condition to minimize production downtime. Maintain plant utilities (cooling towers, chillers, etc.).

  • Develop, evaluate, and maintain preventative and predictive maintenance processes to continuously improve the reliability performance on assets through proactive practices

  • Manage calibration program for process instrumentation

  • Develop and maintain appropriate key performance metrics

  • Facilitate planning and execution of individual process line and sitewide outages.

  • Responsible for upkeep of facilities, buildings, and grounds.

  • Manage plant capital projects and oversee project implementation as assigned

  • Control expenditures with respect to budget goals and maintain a cost reduction process to improve equipment failure costs by utilizing FMEA and Root Cause Analysis tools.

  • Assist the Engineering Services Manager in training, developing, and coaching team members:

  • Foster a working environment that promotes open communications, teamwork, and individual engagement to accomplish goals and objectives

  • Ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner

  • Ensure that written performance evaluations of associates are completed as required; provide continuous feedback on personnel performance issues; take immediate action to recognize achievements and address deficiencies or problems

  • Ensure safety rules are clearly understood and followed

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Engineering Services Manager

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

  • BS Engineering degree (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred)

  • 5+ years' experience in industrial maintenance

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and ownership with little supervision

  • Ability to climb stairs and obtain medical clearance for full face respirator

  • Strong problem-solving capability

  • Project Management skills

QUALIFICATIONS - PREFERRED

  • 10 - 15 years' experience in industrial maintenance, preferably chemical industry

  • Prior/Current leadership role(s) demonstrating ability to lead a large group of individuals
