Functional area: Legal / Compliance Remuneration: Exempt We are seeking a Senior Legal Technology Expertto join our Legal Operations group as part of a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will be familiar with strategic legal department solutions within a global corporate ecosystem. The Legal Technology Expert will have experience with large data sets, legal document management systems (LDMS), familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools, matter & spend management (MSM) tools, and other emerging legal technologies including advanced Data and AI applications. Working with the Legal Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will assist in building the necessary connection between Legal and IT departments, facilitating the adoption of innovative technologies, and streamlining legal operations and data communications and compliance across related operating company legal departments and global jurisdictions. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance of enterprise DMS and integration into any legal document management systems (LDMS) utilized
- Integrate disparate legal tech tools for seamless operations and reporting
- Develop Legal reporting dashboards using feed from disparate cross-functional systems
- Assist in the development of shared legal services and practice-specific workflows
- CLM: Assist in the development of contracts workflows, manage template uniform standards, template creation, and tools for contract lifecycle management (CLM) across practice groups and the business
- CLM: Work as a resource to practice groups to identify and analyze key clauses in contracts using text analysis and natural language processing
- Conduct training sessions for legal professionals on advanced technology usage and in-house support after tool implementation
- Where approved, use AI and machine learning to automate legal processes and workflows
- Collaborate with IT to develop and implement tech solutions tailored to legal requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced degree in Law, Computer Science, or a related field; ideally a combination of both
- Minimum 8years of experience in legal operations with a concentration on legal technology assessment, implementation, and user experience
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques(Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, others)
- Ability to apply statistical analysis to large legal data sets
- Knowledge of and some experience in a programming language for AI development -such as Python and related Data Science and AI libraries- is a strong plus
- Strong analytical skills with experience in natural language processing and machine learning applied to legal use cases
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills translating technical functions and user experience to attorneys and legal support professionals
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Core and Advanced eDiscovery a plus
- Experience in legal operations and technology management including large data sets
- Expert in managing large-scale legal document repositories and contract templates
- Understanding of implementation of legal technology solutions across multiple jurisdictions within a global corporate structure, including the technical requirements for data use and privacy laws and directives
- Background in AI, machine learning, natural language processing and text analysis applied to law
- The ability to train legal professionals in adopting new technologies and 'train-the-trainer' exercises across practice groups and the business where Legal is a technology sponsor
- Strong legal data analysis and data science skills with experience in developing dashboards, monitoring patterns, and network(s) analysis in the legal field
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with diverse groups of attorneys, subject matter experts, legal support and IT/OT professionals
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, take initiative, be flexible, handle highly confidential information appropriately and have exceptional attention to detail
- Strong familiarity & experience with Microsoft Office Ecosystem including SharePoint development and comprehensive data analysis experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams

This position is a hybrid-based role with some travel and visits to other RWECE office and field locations Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time
Pay range:The annual base salary range for this position in Illinois is $116,000-174,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations.
