Sr. Staff Financial Analyst, FP&A

The Sr. Staff Financial Analyst will provide direct financial and decision support to Corporate and Operations functions that include areas as COGS, IT, Software Engineering, Legal, Finance, Human Resources. The successful candidate will influence business decisions and drive organizational priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

The FP&A department acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support 'optimal' business decision making. As a member of the FP&A team at a fast-growing public company, you will also be involved in other aspects of finance department activities as time permits.

Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with Corporate and Operations functional leadership team and subject-matter-experts to become a trusted finance partner to assist in accurate forecasting, strategic analysis and reporting
  • Manage purchase orders, contract financial approvals for COGS, IT, Software Engineering, Legal, Finance, Human Resources teams
  • Support financial month-end closing activities by working closely with the Accounting team; this includes reviewing expense accruals
  • Work with cost center managers to create accurate expense and headcount monthly forecasts as well as annual plan for their respective areas
  • Conduct monthly variance analysis, outlining cause of change versus budget, forecast and provide cost center owners insights risk & opportunities for the business
  • Drive and cultivate financial discipline and accountability to ensure delivery against financial targets
  • Constantly drive process improvements and efficiencies in areas of financial planning, financial analysis, and production of reporting packages
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • CPA, CMA or MBA preferred
  • 8+ years' experience with broad breadth of direct exposure to multiple areas of finance, accounting, and business operations;
  • Experience in corporate and operations FP&A functions is ideal
  • Experience working in a matrixed, entrepreneurial, global environment
  • Experience in working directly and closely with Senior Management
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to slice and dice in multiple ways and levels
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and is well versed in methods for analysis of disparate data
  • Strong work ethic and ability and willingness to pivot on activities as new requests and priorities surface
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience working with ERP Systems - NetSuite or Adaptive Planning
  • Experience working with Dashboards - Tableau
