The Medical Interpreter, Jr. is responsible for performing entry level interpretation and translation work while receiving training in the related principles, methods and techniques. The junior interpreter will be under the guidance and mentorship of a Medical Interpreter Sr. or department leadership. Additional Information

SCOPE AND LEVEL Guidelines: Trains in the field and assists higher level personnel to acquire learning through practical experience. Complexity: Performs routine and basic tasks common to the field. Procedures, methods, and techniques to be used are well established with options to be considered well defined. Tools, work aids, and materials to be used are specified. Decision Making: Decisions or recommendations on non-standardized situations are limited. Brings non routine issues to supervisor. Problems that are not covered by guidelines or are without precedent are taken up with the supervisor. Communications: Solid customer service skills and respectful communication abilities; comfortable being coached and mentored; open to feedback. Supervision Received: Scope of service areas within the hospital, comfort with medical vocabulary, and varied appointment and encounter content will expand while being mentored and coached by a Medical Interpreter Sr. or above. Salary Information Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $39,890.57 to $59,835.86Hourly Salary Range: $19.18 to $28.77 Benefits Information As a Children's Hospital Colorado team member, you will receive a competitive pay and benefits package designed to take care of your needs that includes base pay, incentives, paid sick leave and a robust wellness program. As part of our Total Rewards package, Children's Colorado offers an annual employee bonus program that rewards eligible team members based on organizational performance. If organizational goals are met for the year, the bonus is paid out the following April. Children's Colorado delivers annual base pay increases to eligible team members based on their performance over the previous year. |
