Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Vice President - Sales, Global Projects to be based out of one of our North American or European offices. Reporting to the President, Global Construction Services. This person will be responsible for leading our commercial efforts to develop and implement our strategic growth initiatives within our target market verticals of Data Center, Semiconductor Chip and advanced manufacturing construction.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a relevant field with a minimum of 10 years in global sales and management. A deep understanding and advanced knowledge of the construction industry and its delivery methods along with experience leading a global team and managing long-cycle projects. Additionally, preference will be given to Muti-lingual fluency in non-English languages as well as experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and experience working in a business system-based company is strongly preferred.

This role will manage our commercial team operating in the USA, the UK and Europe and will work closely with the Design and Estimating team to identify construction opportunities with both existing and new clients to develop a total value solution addressing specific project and program needs. It will require hands-on leadership to support our corporate strategic initiative focused on helping our customers-who include Owners, General Contractors, Mechanical-Electrical-Plumbing Subcontractors, and Off-Site Manufacturers-to successfully execute large-scale construction programs in North America, Europe and Asia.

What you'll do:



  • Align Atkore's capabilities to meet customer needs and secure the largest share of work on these projects.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, customer-centric sales team across the US, UK/Europe, and Asia. Foster a culture of success and accountability within the team.
  • Engage with internal teams-including commercial, engineering, and estimating-to understand client needs and craft competitive bids.
  • Work closely with key clients to drive targeted growth initiatives.
  • Lead strategic account conversions across North America, Europe, and Asia.
  • Identify and evaluate potential M&A targets within key vertical markets to enhance Atkore's capabilities and market position.
  • Apply LEAN methodologies to the commercial excellence process to establish relevant metrics and promote continuous improvement within the sales process.



    What you'll bring:



    • 10+ years of global sales and management.
    • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
    • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in German, Polish, or another European language is highly valued.
    • Demonstrated strength in leadership, with a focus on integrity, accountability, and team development.
    • Expert understanding and a deep knowledge of the construction industry and its delivery methods, particularly regarding LEAN principles.
    • Extensive experience leading global teams and managing a substantial pipeline of long-cycle projects.
    • Proven ability to balance priorities across client, site, and corporate levels, ensuring cohesive project delivery.
    • Strong skills in aligning resources across Strategic Business Units, Suppliers, and Subcontractors to maximize customer benefit and operational efficiency.
    • Self-motivated and dynamic with an international outlook
    • Willingness to travel frequently, with more than 50% travel expected.



    Within 3 months, you'll:



    • Complete Atkore immersion including participating in a large Kaizen event.
    • Champion Atkore's portfolio solutions, emphasizing technical specifications and tailored offerings to meet the specific demands of vertical market end users.



    Within 6 months, you'll:



    • Clearly present Atkore's unique value proposition to clients, addressing both large-scale individual projects and multi-site construction programs.
    • Take a lead role in negotiating project scope, terms, and conditions for high-impact projects.
    • Develop and implement a vertical-focused commercial plan to meet both near- and long-term sales goals in primary markets.



    Within 12 months, you'll:



    • With the executive team, develop and implement our global commercial strategic plan.
    • Collaborate with marketing to create vertical-specific plans that resonate with client needs.
    • Manage sales budgets, consistently working towards achieving financial goals and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

    As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $196,400 - $270,050. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
