Stony Brook University: Health Sciences: Renaissance School of Medicine: Emergency Medicine Location Commack, New York Open Date Jan 03, 2025 Deadline Feb 03, 2025 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description The selected candidates will be responsible for serving as an attending physician providing clinical coverage at Stony Brook Medicine's Advanced Immediate Care facility in Commack. Additionally, as we are transforming Emergency Medicine into a Systems-Based Department, the physician will also have the opportunity to work at our other Emergency Medicine locations in Stony Brook and other eastern areas of Long Island. Stony Brook Medicine is seeking two board-certified/board-eligible Attending Physicians to join our team at the new Stony Brook Advanced Immediate Care location. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced urgent care setting, treating a wide range of non-life-threatening conditions for patients of all ages. Responsibilities include clinical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and coordination of care, while working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of advanced practice providers, nurses, and support staff. Ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to patient safety and satisfaction, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment. In addition, the incumbent may also work at one of our future acute urgent care centers in Lake Grove, as well as occasional shifts at Eastern Long Island Hospital based on operational needs.
