Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Lead Shipping/Receiving Clerk to be based out of Harvey, IL. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this person will be responsible for entering and monitoring transactions into the JD Edwards system.

The ideal candidate will have at least seven years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.

What you'll do:



  • Enter and monitor data into JD Edwards.
  • Enter Purchase Orders.
  • Support JD Edwards inbound transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve issues in Basware.
  • Monitor material availability and receiving orders.
  • Track daily on time delivery and support corrective actions for failures.
  • Provide backup support in the shipping/receiving department.
  • Investigate and problem solve tag inventory and product inventory.
  • Promote a safety culture and awareness within their area of responsibility.
  • Identify and champion opportunity for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work weekends and off shifts as required.


What you'll bring:



  • High school diploma..
  • At least seven years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Computer literate in spreadsheets and work applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of JD Edwards is a plus.
  • Well organized and able to process large amounts of information.


Within 3 months, you'll:



  • Complete your Atkore immersion program.
  • Be well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.
  • Developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.


Within 6 months, you'll:



  • Embrace and foster an environment that supports our core values of Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Teamwork and Accountability.
  • Be proficient in JD Edwards functionality.
  • Familiarize and be able to accurately perform transactions in Basware.


Within 12 months, you'll:



  • Complete all receiving tasks.
  • Investigate and correct any receipt errors.
  • Provide back up support for other Receiving personnel.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $45,680 - $62,810. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
