We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Patient Services Representative to support our Dover Family Practice team located at 10 Members Way in Dover, NH. The schedule is onsite Monday through Friday from 7:15am-3:45pm.
Our Patient Service Representatives play an integral part in the operations of our community-based physician practices. Dedicated to administrative support, these Representatives serve as the gatekeepers of our practices and ensure that teams are delivering the highest quality experience that exceeds our patients' expectations. At our practice, Patient Service Representatives work 1 to 1 with their assigned Provider, allowing a strong partnership to be formed. We find that this structure enhances communication, improves efficiency, and personalizes patient care, ultimately leading to a better experience for all parties involved. We are looking for well-rounded customer service professionals who can multi-task, prioritize, and thrive in a high-volume outpatient setting! Our staff support seven providers and an average visit volume of 100 patients per day in our practice. Teamwork is the foundation for successful day-to-day operations. Leading up to the patient visit, Patient Service Representatives schedule all appointments, manage electronic in-baskets and perform chart preparation. During the patient's visit, the focus is check-in, which includes greeting patients, answering all of their questions, collecting co-payments, and assisting with any pre-visit paperwork/forms. At the conclusion of the visit, during check-out, Patient Service Representatives will assist with the completion of forms, will schedule follow-up appointments, process referrals, diagnostic and lab orders, print after visit summaries and will assist with scheduling tests and/or procedures. Other duties include fielding all incoming telephone calls and transferring appropriately, monitoring patient flow and waiting room activity, and providing general support to practice leadership, clinicians, and peers. We do our best to keep all employees in their assigned practices and locations; however, you may also be asked to float to other departments in the WHP system when appropriate and needed during times of staffing shortages/other extenuating circumstances for cross-coverage purposes and to ensure adequate coverage and support. Qualifications
Whether you are seeking to gain more experience in the healthcare industry or a proven healthcare professional seeking a new challenge, the Patient Service Representative role is the opportunity for you. We are seeking a highly organized candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills and the capacity to adapt quickly to changing priorities are essential for success in this role.
