The Section of Clinical Sciences in the Division of Rheumatology seeks a highly motivated Health Data Scientist to be a lead analyst on an infrastructure effort enabling a department-wide electronic health record-based research. The Associate will work closely with Principal Investigators, database administrators, data managers, and potential collaborators to support the department in collecting, organizing, retrieving, tracking, analyzing data related to a new effort to establish a bioinformatics platform. The Associate will be part of a team that studies large multi-institutional health datasets to infer new approaches to determine disease risk, diagnosis, and management. They will contribute to data infrastructure including database development, recoding data, the application of data ontologies, data harmonization, and natural language processing of free text health record data among other tasks.
