We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Patient Safety and Risk Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with hospital leadership, directors, managers, and staff across various departments to champion patient safety initiatives. You will support the Senior Manager of Patient Safety, Risk, and Patient Family Relations in implementing safety protocols and ensuring the highest standard of care across MGBMG. This role provides the unique opportunity to shape and drive equity-informed high-reliability concepts throughout the hospital.
As a key player in our ongoing commitment to patient safety, you will lead change management efforts, mentor junior staff, and coordinate complex projects across multidisciplinary teams. This is a dynamic role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment, with ample opportunities for professional growth and development. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the day-to-day coordination of patient safety event management and lead equity-informed initiatives. - Collaborate with MGBMG leadership on medical peer reviews, patient care concerns, and serious adverse events. - Identify trends through data analysis and recommend corrective measures to enhance clinical quality. - Partner with regulatory agencies during site visits and compliance assessments. - Lead educational efforts to promote non-punitive reporting and equity-informed, high-reliability care across the organization. - Mentor and train patient safety staff, fostering a culture of safety and collaboration.
