Sentara is hiring a Specialty Pharmacy Technician I for Sentara's Specialty Pharmacy at Norfolk General, in Norfolk, Virginia

Shift: Full Time (40 hours) (First Shift, Mon-Fri)

Qualifications:
Virginia Pharmacy Technician license REQUIRED

Prior specialty pharmacy or hospital experience preferred.

National Certification preferred.

Job Summary

The Specialty Pharmacy Technician I will ensure accurate and timely data entry, product dispensing, and packing of prescription orders and will be responsible to provide exceptional customer service. The technician will work in a high volume fulfillment and/or call center environment on a multi- disciplinary team. Routine interaction with specialty pharmacy patients with complex medication needs requiring high touch care and follow-up.

Third party online adjudication experience and outpatient pharmacy or long term care pharmacy experience preferred.

Registered with the Commonwealth of VA/NC Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician required

PTCB or NHA preferred

Qualifications:

HS - High School Grad or Equivalent (Required) Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Certifications - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Pharmacy Technician
