DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a DCNR Maintenance Repairman 2, you will lead a team of semi-skilled laborers, laborers, and other personnel in completing projects at Hills Creek, Leonard Harrison, and Colton Point State Parks. Your daily tasks will involve advanced maintenance, repair, and construction across various trades, including building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, and masonry, specifically for park buildings and equipment.
Additionally, you may participate in special projects and assignments at other parks within the Hills Creek Complex. You will work closely with a supervisor to contact vendors, obtain price quotations, calculate the costs of supplies and equipment, estimate the person-hours needed to complete assignments and prepare forms for submission to your supervisor for review and approval.

- Full-time employment; 37.5 hour work week.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Shifts and schedules may vary based on the needs of our 7-day-a-week facility, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirements:
- You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
