The Development Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the Development and Land Acquisitions Team. Working directly with the President, the Development Assistant will gain hands-on experience in property acquisition strategy while honing their skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, adaptable, and capable of handling sensitive situations with professionalism.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage the response process to RFPs, ensuring deadlines are met and all required information is gathered.
  • Keep track of active, on-hold, and historic projects, ensuring all necessary details are up to date and accessible.
  • Obtain essential property and tax information from government websites and county staff. Manage and organize this data to support the team's needs.
  • Ensure that transaction and development data is accurately entered into internal systems, maintaining data integrity across platforms.
  • Draft and proofread correspondence, including letters, memos, and reports. Ensure all documents are professional and meet the company's standards.
  • Provide administrative assistance, including managing calendars, booking business travel, preparing expense reports, and handling document management.
  • Schedule meetings and update contacts, ensuring the President's schedule runs smoothly.
  • Handle calls and emails professionally, responding independently when appropriate, and directing requests as necessary.
  • Support the team with other tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Able to think creatively and suggest new solutions to challenges.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and flexible in response to changing needs.
  • Able to handle confidential matters with discretion, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Skilled at navigating complex situations and gathering necessary information.
