Position Summary |
The Khan lab has an open position for a postdoctoral researcher to investigate the effects of primary cilia on brain aging and neurodegenerative disease pathogenesis using mouse models, postmortem tissue, and iPSC-derived neural cell cultures. The lab examines primary cilia structure and function in molecular detail. The lab utilizes biochemical and proteomic methods of investigation, together with unique mouse genetic models of human disease. |

PhD or similar degree |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Experience with cell culture (e.g. iPSC-derived neurons/astrocytes, or primary neurons) |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Prior experience in mouse colony management, molecular neurobiology, biochemistry, proteomics, and bioinformatics analysis is strongly desired. Prior experience in the field of molecular and cellular neuroscience is also preferred. |
