Summary:

As a Continuous Improvement Manager, you will lead transformative projects that enhance our operations' quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Collaborating with a dedicated and results-driven team, you'll tackle complex challenges, design innovative solutions, and play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role offers a dynamic blend of strategic leadership and hands-on implementation, providing opportunities to grow your expertiseand make a lasting impact on ourorganization's success.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Continuous Improvement & Execution (50%)

  • Understands business needs and objectives, develops practical data analysis and reporting strategies, and extracts data from multiple sources and systems to transform the raw data into actionable business insights

  • Apply industry knowledge to interpret data and improve performance

  • Regularly reviews and analyzes performance data to assess effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities

  • Manages a portfolio of continuous improvement projects, ensuring they progress according to plan

  • Identify areas for process enhancement across various departments

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of continuous improvement projects

  • Ensure projects are timely, within budget, and meet quality standards

  • Utilize Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and process mining tools to streamline workflows, identify inefficiencies, and analyze process data for improvement opportunities

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure continuous improvement efforts are aligned with their needs and priorities

  • Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders about continuous improvement initiatives' progress, challenges, and results

  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or Total Quality Management methodologies to analyze and improve processes

  • Continuously review operational processes to ensure they remain efficient and effective and make adjustments as needed

  • Ensures all process redesigns are repeatable and sustainable, reducing rework and cycle times while improving quality

  • Implement countermeasures to address process gaps and verify solution effectiveness

  • Regularly collect and analyze performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented initiatives and identify areas for future improvement

  • Utilizes structured, disciplined, and data-oriented processes to identify root causes and solve problems

  • Creates project charters, baseline/project metrics, data collection plans, pilot plans, control plans, training plans, etc.

  • Establishes processes and correlates business result metrics and dashboards

  • Facilitates medium-large (10+) group meetings and workshops around advanced topics

Change Management (30%)

  • Develops and executes strategies to help teams adapt to change, addressing resistance and fostering acceptance of new processes and technologies

  • Prepares and supports individuals and teams through organizational transitions, providing detailed action plans with timelines, resources, and milestones

  • Establish support systems to assist employees during and after transition

  • Partners and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of change initiatives

  • Proactively identify and address resistance from employees or other stakeholders

  • Acts as an effective change agent, demonstrating facilitation skills to guide cultural transformation

  • Personally embrace and promote new practices, fostering a positive outlook on change

Mentoring/Training (20%)

  • Serve as a mentor and provide ongoing guidance and support to team members across the organization, including those not directly under your supervision

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and experimentation, encouraging innovation and creative problem-solving

  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions that allow teams to learn from each other's experiences and insights

  • Lead or participate in cross-functional initiatives that require collaboration between different departments

  • Demonstrate leadership and foster a sense of unity and shared purpose

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of directly related and progressively responsible experience in process improvement and change management initiatives

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field

  • Certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred

  • Experience in supply chain distribution or warehousing environment is highly desirable

  • Demonstrated strong leadership, interpersonal & organizational and change agent abilities

  • Proven Project Management skills with a track record of delivering quality and operational improvements

  • Structured approach to resolving complex problems

  • Has good judgment as to the most effective approach to use

  • Initiates needed changes in direction

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites such as Project, Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint

  • Robust presentation skills, with the ability to present strategies and complex information clearly and persuasively

  • Ability to manage duties in a fast-paced work environment

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify key issues and develop creative solutions

  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts to build consensus and achieve common goals

  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to work across cross-functional teams

  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with a collaborative approach to problem-solving

  • Ability to lead and energize multidisciplinary teams dynamically

Salary Range*
$86,500 - 123,860

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
