Stony Brook University: Health Sciences: Renaissance School of Medicine: Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Location Stony Brook, New York Open Date Dec 17, 2024 Deadline Jan 17, 2025 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description The Mind-Body Clinical Research Center (MBCRC) in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health at Stony Brook University seeks a full-time Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team. The LCSW will provide outpatient individual- and group-based psychotherapy services and may also contribute to academic activities such, teaching, providing supervision and research. The mission of the MBCRC is to improve the mental and physical health of individuals and communities through providing integrative mental and physical health care, conducting basic and applied cutting-edge research, and training tomorrow's clinical research leaders. The MBCRC houses a full model Dialectical Behavior Therapy program including skills groups, individual therapy, and treatment team. The clinician will serve as a Clinical Social Worker in our center located in the newly renovated Putnam Hall on the South Campus of Stony Brook University. Responsibilities include direct patient care including needs assessments, diagnostic evaluations, individual and group psychotherapy. Shifts totaling forty hours per week, including the possibility of evening hours; Hybrid work model available with 25%-50% of appointments/work via telehealth.
