What You'll Do in This Position

Execute short to mid range planning and scheduling functions for the implementation or support of a facilities operation, outage for maintenance or significant project work activity to meet delivery times and best utilize the organization's productive capacity. Provide management and the working levels with the capability of maintaining schedule control throughout the life cycle of a project or work activity. Semi routine work content variety with moderate complexity and difficulty.

Develop, analyze and monitor the implementation and maintenance of all divisional or project logic driven, integrated resource loaded schedules through short, mid range and long range planning. Formulate and define schedule logic to ensure meeting AOP milestones and award fee objectives. Identify critical path activities and recommend modifications to work plans to maintain schedule and to meet or improve milestone dates and other dates of completion or mitigate potential problems or constraints to continued progress. Compile comprehensive information that defines general work requirements for a performing organization and unit. Prepares broad activity logic and any required interfaces between activities on schedules. Implement and maintain division maintenance schedules in conjunction with the designated work management system. Review the planning and scheduling of preventative maintenance activities to ensure equipment and system performance and optimal allocation and utilization of resources. Integrate schedule status information into schedule software and develop visually oriented presentation aids to communicate operational project maintenance status. Presentation development and delivery would include, but not be limited to slides, charts, tables, and graphs in various formats and configurations to best depict information and data. Develop resource loaded schedules and prepare and maintain Activity Based Cost Estimates. Provide planning/scheduling support to other division, department or project activities. Analyze variance from the schedule baseline. Establish and/or implement standards and techniques for updating and monitoring schedule data needed for effective schedule control. Identify, analyze and report potential or actual schedule deviations and recommend corrective action solutions for management consideration. Prepare presentations and materials and participate in schedule review meetings. May also provide and disseminate guidance, instruction and rules for proper and effective scheduling functions within the area assigned. Prepare, log and track baseline change proposals and schedule trend reports and assists the functional department in their preparation. Coordinate the regular review and closure of open and backlog issues assigned utilizing designated tracking system(s). Identify activities and issues requiring closure to satisfy customer requirements and ensure entry into designated tracking system(s).

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications We Desire

College degree in business, construction management, engineering or other related area.
Experience in planning and scheduling, work control or related areas preferred.
Working knowledge and understanding of project management, project planning and cost control at the tactical level is desirable, along with a knowledge of operations, maintenance, or project startup and construction.
Knowledge of materials planning, time and cost estimating, as well as experience or aptitude in computers and computer project planning and controls software.
Working understanding of the capabilities of computerized equipment for storing, compiling, manipulation and retrieving schedule, materials or financial data.
Advanced understanding of site maintenance procedures and work practices for both maintenance and operations related areas.
Experience working at a DOE Nuclear Site.
SRTE experience.
