Job Overview: We are looking for a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to join the manufacturing team at our Orange, CA plant. This individual will be responsible for ensuring orders are completed and shipped at the lowest possible cost while producing a quality part that is acceptable to the customer and profitable for the Company. Instruct and oversee employees perform their duties in a safe, accurate, professional, and timely manner. The Production Supervisor will also be responsible for production yields, and inventory control for assigned shift and area.



Responsibilities

    Enter absences and vacation into the time and attendance system, ADP.
  • Evaluate employee performance and pursue corrective action for rule violations.
  • Complete Hourly Performance Reviews.
  • Complete On The Job Training forms both hourly and temporary employees.
  • Notify management of employee issues in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for distribution and channeling of orders through the production areas.
  • Adjust manpower as required by production.
  • Ensure the production schedule is being produced daily.
  • Maintain flow of information to and from employees concerning work requirements, new policies, and new methods of operations.
  • Manage Safety responsibilities.
  • Ensure employees are in compliance with safety and environmental rules.
  • Conduct weekly safety meetings.
  • Manager safety incidents.
  • Oversee production.
  • Perform periodic inspections of the production/plant area.
  • Plan and coordinate production of quality foam at the lowest possible cost.
  • Complete paperwork timely.
  • Check equipment for problems.
  • Recommend and implement improved working methods.
  • Work together as a Supervisor team to maximize plant output.
  • Address problems in the production area.
  • Control overtime.
  • Maximize foam yield.
  • Ensure shortages are added to the truck by shift end; the driver signs the bill of lading and receives packing list.
  • Attend Supervisory training courses.


Qualifications

  • Education requirement: College Degree - preferred
  • Ability to read/write/speak/understand English and Spanish
  • Strong communication skills & ability to motivate/lead teams
  • 3-5 years supervisor experience in manufacturing field required
  • Lean experience needed, 5S experience also preferred
  • SAP experience preferred or any similar ERP system experience
  • Familiar with OSHA protocols and how to cultuive a safe working environment
  • Available for call-in when necessary

Shift/Schedule: 2nd - Monday through Friday 3pm-12pm

Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000
