Overview

Are you passionate about driving manufacturing innovation and excellence? CAES is seeking a skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team in Lansdale, PA. As a pivotal member of our engineering department, you will play a key role in optimizing production porcesses, enhancing product quality and reducing costs. Responsibilities

  • Provides manufacturing engineering services and technical solutions to the fabrication, assembly, and integration of complex electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Establishes and maintains production routings and detailed assembly work instructions to meet all requirements established on engineering drawings.
  • Supports production by resolving technical issues with engineering.
  • Assists in the development of production methods and processes, bids and proposals.
  • Prepares estimates of tooling requirements and of fabrication, assembly, integration, test, and other manufacturing labor content by analyzing drawings, models, sketches, or engineering descriptions.
  • Assists/Leads in equipment and production floor layout activities to promote an efficient flow of product and minimize production lead times through various assembly operations.
  • Assists in capital equipment requirements planning, develops ROI analysis reports, prepares capital equipment requests, and documents/maintains equipment operating procedures.
  • Ensures conformance with standard processes and procedures and verifies the product design for Design for Manufacturability (DFM). Supports new product introductions thru engineering design reviews and production implementation.
  • Requires the application of engineering standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
  • Works under general direction and applies knowledge and experience to generate creative solutions. May be assigned the engineering responsibility for a project or part of a project depending upon size, scope and complexity.
  • Assists in the monitoring of daily production activities and recommends/implements product and/or process improvements to enhance the efficiency of operations.
  • Investigate, analyze, prevent, and solve technical problems.
  • Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
  • Practices continuous improvement methodologies including lean manufacturing, root cause problem solving, value stream mapping, etc. to improve production efficiencies and key performance metrics.
  • Occasional travel as needed, up to 10%.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering)
  • 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within a manufacturing environment with focus on mechanical assembly.
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance


Preferred:

  • Masters and 3 years' experience as a Manufacturing Engineering with focus on mechanical assembly
  • Intermediate SolidWorks knowledge
  • Ability to design fixtures and tooling in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of equipment programming (Laser 3D printing)
  • Hands on operations and manufacturing engineering experienced
  • Aerospace or Defense Experience
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques and principles
  • Experience with MS Suite (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Salary Range: $95,365 - $148,377 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
