This job is responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more technical teams or divisions. Supports the management of resources, schedules and budget/financials and adhere to quality and control guidelines. Manages issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery. Has the authority to run projects on a day-to-day basis, verify that projects produce the required deliverables of quality within the specified constraints of time and budget, and achieve potential benefits defined in the business case and statement of work. Additionally, this job leads, coaches, and mentors.

Education

Required - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Health Sciences or related field

Work Experience

Required - 5 years project management experience, including tracking and planning projects.

Certifications

Required - None

Preferred - PMP, CAPM or equivalent (Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt, Master Change Agent, or Program Management Professional)

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard (proficiency in various office software packages, including but not limited to Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent judgement, decision making and time management skills.
  • Analytical skills and logical through process to formulate practical solutions to problems.
  • Positive interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively and professionally work with people from all backgrounds.
  • May require ability to travel throughout and between facilities.

Job Duties

  • Coaches, leads, and mentors Project Manager(s) and Associates including evaluation and delegation of project tasks.
  • Ownership of full project life cycle, successful project delivery including leadership on high visibility projects.
  • Works in tandem with Program Manager(s) and relevant leadership to establish practices, templates, policies, resource management, tools and highly visible project reporting and presentations.
  • Develops and manages all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change management, risk mitigation and critical issues.
  • Manages and develops project scope, change management, and internal quality controls.
  • Supports, defines and maintains success criteria as needed in coordination with stakeholders and leadership through project life cycle.
  • Extensive understanding of project management principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Sets and continually manages project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables among other managers, own project team, leadership and stakeholders.
  • Other related duties as required.
