Executive Director of Corporate Social Responsibility

The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Executive Director is responsible for spearheading the YMCA's corporate engagement, sales, and impact membership strategy to grow impactful partnerships with key organizations. This role is focused on cultivating relationships with corporate decision-makers, enhancing the YMCA's brand visibility within the corporate sector, and driving memberships through strategic partnerships and high-quality outreach. By developing meaningful partnerships and effective community-driven programs, the CSR Executive Director supports YMCA's goal of increasing impact memberships, facility memberships, and fostering a supportive community environment.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Corporate Sales & Partnership Development:
    • Design and implement a corporate sales strategy, creating customized partnerships with corporate stakeholders such as HR professionals, executives, and other decision-makers.
    • Identify and pursue opportunities to establish corporate partnerships with businesses and organizations in the local community.
    • Act as the primary contact for corporate clients, managing negotiations, agreements, and long-term relationship development.
    • Generate leads through networking, cold calling, prospecting, and other sales techniques to expand the corporate membership base.

  • Outreach & Engagement Monitoring:
    • Lead outreach initiatives to drive engagement and membership growth, continually assessing corporate engagement KPIs.
    • Strategize and execute growth plans to increase impact memberships from 14,000 to a target number.

  • Program & Event Logistics:
    • Oversee logistics for corporate wellness challenges, volunteer days, and YMCA-hosted events, ensuring all activities align with YMCA's mission and goals.
    • Coordinate event scheduling, registrations, and follow-up with corporate partners to provide exceptional experiences.

  • Retention and Expansion:
    • Work collaboratively with YMCA staff to ensure a seamless onboarding process for corporate members and to facilitate ongoing engagement and retention efforts.

  1. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, hospitality or related field.
  2. Extensive experience in corporate sales, business development, or nonprofit engagement, particularly in high-level relationship management.
  3. Ability to drive the sales process from start to finish.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
  5. Ability to quickly build rapport and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  6. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  7. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and other sales software.
  8. Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations.
  9. Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
  10. Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
  11. CPR and First Aid certifications may be required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

COMPUTER LITERACY

Skills are essential in all of the Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Access. Ability to use these programs to lighten work load, develop reports and to automate procedures is very necessary. Ability to diagnose basic PC problems and to communicate those problems is very important.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

HOURS

Flexible with scheduling and availability to work operational hours of the YMCA and sites, which may include day, evenings and weekends.

TRAVEL

Travel is primarily local between assigned centers and potential customer locations during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
