More Information: https://www.mcw.edu/departments/mcw-advanced-practice-providers/app-fellowship-np-residency-programs/app-centralized-pediatric-fellowship The Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Program is a 12-month training program located in Milwaukee, WI at Children's Wisconsin Hospital that teaches APP fellows to become highly skilled in the inter-professional, collaborative, and evidence-based and evidence-based management of complex and challenging patients. It is an innovative 12-month curriculum composed of in-person didactics, online classrooms, simulation, proctored procedures and mentored clinical rotations designed to have you prepared for pediatric subspecialty practice or acute/critical care practice. Participants provide specialty health care services within defined scope of practice in collaboration with a licensed physician and in accordance with MCW/FMLH policies and procedures. *This position is geared towards a new graduate or clinician with less than 1 year of APRN/PA experience Fellowship Program Experiences Include:

*Documents may be attached to the application or emailed directly to: Fellowship Expectations: The foundation of this fellowship is built upon the core competencies national benchmarks established by the leading national bodies representing Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant practice. Medical Knowledge & Patient Care: Advanced Assessment: Elicits, selects, and integrates information in the care of patients with acute, critical, and/or complex chronic illnesses using physiologic technologic and pharmacologic inputs. Differential Diagnosis: Makes and prioritizes real and potential conditions based on available data and the complexity and severity of patient condition. Outcomes Identification: Formulates goals and outcomes using scientific evidence that are consistent with the patient's wishes and present and potential capabilities. Plan of Care: Develops, prescribes, and/or modifies an outcomes-focused plan of care with an inter-professional team targeting health care that may be restorative, curative, rehabilitative, maintenance and or end-of-life for patients with complex needs. Implementation of Treatment: Identifies, prescribes, performs, or delegates therapeutic interventions. Evaluation of Care: Demonstrates ongoing evaluation of plan of care, recognizing patient response to therapy and change in condition, making modifications and assimilation of care team recommendations. Systems Based Practice: Demonstrates functional and technical knowledge and skills to perform the work at the highest level of accomplishment. Incorporates other resources in system to provide optimal health care. Professionalism: Highly motivated, dedicated, emotionally intelligent, confident, and flexible in the clinical practice environment and with changes in the fellowship, and be able to work within a multi-professional team Practice Based Learning Environment: Applies current research and evidence-based practice guidelines to own practice. Educational Responsibility and Engagement: Assumes responsibility for your education as an active didactic and clinical participant. Participate in all required fellowship, course, and educational activities. Be self-guided and assume responsibility for clinical and professional growth and development. This includes, but is not limited to, journaling, case studies, and other projects.
