In the role of Quality Engineering Team Leader, you would be located at our St. Louis, Missouri Manufacturing Center of Excellence (MCoE) and report to an Engineering Manager.

As a Quality Engineering Team Leader in St. Louis, you will lead a team of Quality Engineers and Technicians and monitor that Quality Management System (QMS) processes, embedded within the Watlow Business System (WBS) are in place, used, communicated, and continuously improved to ensure products and services meet or exceed customer requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities



  • Lead team of Quality Technicians and Engineers for the St. Louis MCoE
  • Identifies team member development needs and provides career coaching and planning assistance.
  • Collaborates with Customer Focused Teams (CFTs) and Business Unit, Regional, and Site leadership teams to develop and deploy quality improvement strategies.
  • Validates the Quality Management System (QMS) processes, embedded within the Watlow Business System (WBS) are in place, used, communicated, and continuously improved.
  • Lead Site Material Review and Management Corrective Action Boards
  • Lead Internal, Agency, and Customer Audits and Plan and Schedule Audits
  • Frequent interaction with suppliers and customers, present corrective action results to Customers, attend regularly scheduled Customer meetings, and coach Suppliers on Corrective Actions.
  • Serves as the Site Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Quality Processes, Tools, and Techniques.
  • Ability to work on and solve very complex problems and operating issues with assistance of peers, direct reports, or next-level managers.
  • Leads project teams or functional groups under general/limited direction from next level manager.
  • Identification and escalation of resource and capability issues.
  • Knows and applies principles, practices, and procedures of multiple technical specialty areas.
  • Other responsibilities as required.



Required Qualification



  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience (5-8 years).
  • Work Well within Team Environment and lead project teams formally or informally.
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced mastery of advanced systematic/ creative problem-solving tools
  • Quality experience within a product manufacturing environment.



Desired Qualifications



  • Supervisory training
  • Experience with Quality Management System certified to ISO 9001.
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Experience
  • Quality Management System, Product and Process Auditing Experience
