SUMMARY: The Charge Nurse will be responsible and accountable for organizing, directing, and evaluating the overall nursing quality of care rendered in the Ambulatory Care Specialty clinics in a particular clinic or during an assigned shift. The Charge Nurse would provide oversight of the non-licensed and licensed clinical support staff to ensure accountability using the nursing protocols to guarantee the safety and quality of care for every patient assigned to the clinic. Under the direction from the Clinic leadership, works to enhance the throughput while enforcing safety management programs to include the observance of universal precautions, prevention of workplace injuries and other infection control policies and procedures. The Charge Nurse will conduct non-surgical in-office procedures/services and other duties as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) * Registered Nurse (RN) License in State of Georgia * 2 - 3 years of Nursing experience * Minimum of 1 year of charge role and/or supervisory experience * Strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and decision-making skills * Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. * Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required within 90-days of employment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Professional nursing experience in an ambulatory care setting * Experience in Specialty Care Areas * 2 or more years of supervisory experience * Proficient with EMR systems such as EPIC * Proficiency in Microsoft Equal Opportunity Employer-Minorities/Females/Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities/Sexual Orientation/Genter Identity |
