Position Summary
The T32 Fellowship Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Fellowship training program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation's Program on Integrative Medicine funded through the NIH National Center for Complementary and Integrative Healthcare ( NCCIH). The T32 Fellowship Coordinator assists the Fellowship Directors, in developing and maintaining the educational quality of the training program and ensuring compliance with NCCIH-approved standards and other regulatory requirements. The FC functions as a liaison between the Fellowship Directors, and the fellows, UNC T32 Office, and other programs/departments, and must be knowledgeable about operational activities in other departments available to the fellows.

The T32 Research Fellowship in Complementary and Integrative Healthcare is currently in its third year of its fourth 5-year cycle. The Fellowship is approved for a total of five predoctoral or postdoctoral fellows and currently has two funded supplemental fellowships. Predoctoral fellowships are approved for up to 5 years and postdoctoral fellowships are approved for 2-3 years. The Fellowship Coordinator position is the primary staff person responsible for assisting in the in-depth recruitment, application screening, and selection process and works side-by-side with the Fellowship Directors to maintain a high-quality program. NCCIH fellowships are highly competitive, thus making it a challenge to recruit and retain the highest caliber of trainees. This position interacts with national and international residency candidates and plays a highly visible, critical role in marketing and public relations for the department and the University.

This person must have an excellent understanding of how to develop and implement educational programs, events, and conferences. This position will also be responsible for recommending coursework and other educational opportunities to trainees. This position will be responsible for collection of feedback for trainee performance as well as faculty teaching. This requires high level organization skills, communication, professionalism, attention to detail, and use of modern education technology. The Fellowship Coordinator ensures NIH T32, and Departmental policies and procedures are enforced and that the fellowship remains compliant with national standards.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Recent administrative experience working in academia, healthcare, or other related environment. Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe, and other related applications.

Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong time management skills. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are required for the role to function as part of a team and for ongoing customer satisfaction. The role requires an organized, detail-oriented, and flexible individual, capable of managing competing priorities and projects.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Candidates with previous experience as a program coordinator are highly desirable.

Campus Security Authority Responsibilities
This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
