Responsibilities
St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute offers a clinical practicum in mental health. All practicum are nine-month training experiences. The approximate start date is subject to some variation based on the student's academic schedule. Practicum experiences are typically 9-10 hours per week. We do not offer a three-month or one-semester practicum. Practicum in Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program:The Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program providers at SLBMI have been trained in formal Marsha Linehan DBT approach. Postdoctoral fellows are expected to be active members of a DBT consultation team, as well as provide treatment in the Adult DBT IOP and DBT Outpatient Group/Individual Services. This program is led by Claudia Charles, Ph.D. Practicum student application deadline for 2025-2026 training year is February 1, 2025. Qualifications
