The Highlights:
The Assistant Director in the Office of Admissions reports to the Assistant Dean of Admissions and plays a key role in the recruitment and admissions of students to the College of Law. This position directs the CRM/application database, executes a nuanced communication plan, and enhances recruitment and yield strategies through involvement in on- and off-campus events. This position directs JD recruitment strategy, including off-campus recruitment events. The Assistant Director also focuses on yield and contact with prospective and admitted students in large groups, small groups and individually as well as with prelaw advisors, key colleges and pipeline programs. This is a professional position that requires extensive travel as well weekend and evening hours to attend Admissions programs and events and to meet with prospective students throughout the United States and internationally.

What You'll Do:



  • Manages Off-Campus and Application Generation Recruitment Strategies and Represents the College of Law at Recruitment Fairs and Pipeline Programs
    Manages off-campus recruitment efforts, including registration, staffing and accommodations. Recruits prospective students by representing the College of Law at recruitment fairs and Law School Admission Council Forums throughout the United States and internationally. Position requires extensive travel. Maintains relationships with key colleges, prelaw advisors and pipeline programs. Works with Assistant Dean in coordinating recruitment and outreach programming with law school partners.
  • Assists with Information Sessions and On-Campus Events
    Helps staff regularly scheduled information sessions for prospective law students. As needed, provides tours of the College of Law facilities for prospective students, applicants and admitted students. Assists with planning, coordinating and preparing for all on-campus programs and events. Helps the Assistant Dean of Admissions in making presentations to prospective law students. Collaborates with the Assistant Dean in coordinating special recruitment and retention events for admitted students at both domestic and international programs as well as on-campus events.
  • Manages Data and Prospective and Admitted Student Communication Flows throughout Enrollment Funnel
    Assists assistant dean in developing and executing queries to create, promote and track inquiries, prospects and recruitment events. Ensures smooth data flow and updates to university SIS/ERP and data record filing system. Manages the delivery of communications to prospective students and applicants, including communications related to application generation and yield strategies.
  • File Review and Cohort Management
    Reviews admissions applications for admission and scholarship. Manages relationships, including communications with and file review, of cohort populations.
  • Supervises one support staff and one student worker.
  • Reconcile procard activity and create travel budget for recruitment/College representation purposes.


What You'll Need:


  • Bachelors degree required. Prefer a JD, Masters in Education or equivalent education & experience.
  • A minimum of 2 - 4 years experience in admissions in a progressive, fast-paced university environment is preferred.
  • Extensive travel, evenings and weekends required.

The anticipated hiring range for this position is: $50,174.00 to $64,000.00.

The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
