Job DescriptionUnpaid Internship

Position Summary:

The Internship opportunity at Texas State Technical College - Harlingen allows students to complete their internship requirements at the Advocacy & Resource Center. Interns will be assisting the department and/or office in case management, connecting with community resources, and participating in event coordination. They are expected to maintain confidentiality and provide great customer service to TSTC students.

Essential Functions

  • Case management

  • Network with community agencies and organizations

  • Contribute to the planning of department/office events

  • Assist with maintaining TSTC's Food Pantry

  • Compliance with Federal Privacy laws when accessing confidential student information

  • Clerical functions (copying, collating, word processing, filing, answering phones, etc.)

  • Provide great customer service to students, other departments and the public

  • Other duties as assigned to meet departmental needs

Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills

  • Ideal candidate should be a current student pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or graduate degree in a related field.
