The position will focus on demonstrating quantum logic protocols on molecular ions with expected applications in quantum sensing and computation. Tasks include managing a laboratory with state-of-the-art AMO physics tools, graduate student oversight, manuscript preparation, and scientific communication. Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. in Physics or a related field, 3+ years experience and a demonstrated background directly applicable to the tasks, including experience with AMO tools, ion trapping, laser cooling, and quantum logic. Candidates should provide a curriculum vitae; a publication list; and a statement of contributions to equity, diversity, and inclusion; and complete a reference check authorization release form.
