The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a strong team of faculty artists, scholars, and staff in a vibrant, interdisciplinary department offering BA's and BFA's in Theater and Dance and an MA/PhD in Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies. The Costume Design teaching professor is responsible for designing several main stage theater and dance productions, mentoring and engaging student assistant designers, teaching formal costume design and costume construction courses, and contributing to the intellectual and artistic life of the university as well as contribute to the diversity of creative voices working on campus. The department's main stage season is composed of 5 plays and 3 dance concerts, along with 7-10 second stage events in multiple venues. For more information, visit http://www.theaterdance.ucsb.edu. M.F.A. in Costume Design or relevant degree, or 5 years equivalent professional experience in the specied eld. Preferred qualifications
