Summary:
We are searching for an Administrative Purchasing temporary worker to support the Purchasing department of SKF Aerospace. This position is located in an office environment in our Falconer, NY facility. This is a 40 hour/week assignment, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Support Purchasing goals for 4 Key Performance Indicators:
- Delivery, Quality, Cost Management and Government Compliance as document by the SBLO (Small Business Liaison Officer) work instructions.
- Learn the functions of Basware (an accounts payable gating tool for price exceptions) to serve as an alternate reviewer in absence of Senior Buyer (up to prescribed threshold, in alignment with delegation of authority matrix)
- PPV (purchase price variance), mindful of the impact UNF (unfavorable) PPV has on the business, escalate exceptions to Manager for approval.
- On a weekly basis generate information to suppliers and team members, including:
- Open Order Reports (OOR) to suppliers & Monitor supplier responses to the OOR.
- Summarize data regarding OTD (on time delivery) for Supplier Business Reviews
- Support Supplier Quoting:
- Generate quotations to approved sources as directed by team, or required by government accounting or supply chain, for major bids that require quote support.
- Analysis of quotes to drive cost improvement and supplier awareness regarding price variation/order quantity breaks, etc.
- Training will include knowledge of ITAR regulations, print generation, and tracking supplier responses (quote management), including "no bids" per USG regulations (if not, why not).
- Knowledge of Quality Communication for non-compliance (VCC) and expectations for resolution. Be mindful of impact quality has on delivery performance metrics.
- Train in evolving Sustainability expectations SKF has of suppliers, including Aerospace.
- Distribute required surveys as required for compliance.
- Monitor responses to the surveys and escalate as appropriate.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft: Excel, Power-point
- Computer proficiency, with ability to be trained in SKF computer systems.
- Good Written & Verbal Communication Skill.
- High School degree, minimum; advanced education preferred.
- Familiarity with USG Purchasing requirements a plus.
