Technical Trainer (Health, Safety and Environmental)

What You Can Expect

As our Technical Trainer, you will develop, conduct, and track training programs for Health, Safety and Environmental subject requirements to ensure compliance with Federal, State and local regulations within the energy industry. This position is in Houston, TX.

Every day you will be responsible for the quality control program and ensure all employees are evaluated and scored based on their technical abilities. You will report to the Director, HSE Energy Solutions NorthAm.

What You'll Bring



  • You possess an associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • You have a minimum 5 years of progressive experience in the energy industry, or a combination of skills and years of experience equaling a minimum of 7 years
  • You have experience teaching in a classroom setting and developing training programs and materials
  • You have the ability to train in the areas of electrical safety, LOTO, working at heights, fall prevention and protection, stop work responsibility, driver safety, emergency response, hazardous work authorization
  • You have the ability to establish collaborative relationships with internal customers to develop course materials and receive feedback, and coordinate training schedules with managers for the hiring and training demands of the company
  • You will select and/or develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works
  • You have the ability to define new training programs based on the needs of the company and industry
  • You have knowledge of analytics and an ability to measure and improve processes and training programs
  • You will test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training
  • You will seek feedback to ensure effectiveness of the training program and ensures opportunities for continuous improvement
  • You will develop train matrices and KPIs related to training, and reports on employee training progress



Additional Details



  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license
  • Must be available to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight trips
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies;
  • This position consists of 10% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions
  • MS Office Suite software knowledge, especially Excel PowerPoint, Word and SharePoint
  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
  • Other duties related to the position



Compensation

Salary Range: $84,000 - $128,000 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
